The Mass of the Holy Spirit is a foundational Catholic, Jesuit tradition dating back to 1548. Celebrated annually at the start of the academic year across Jesuit high schools and universities worldwide, the Eucharistic liturgy invites the Holy Spirit’s guidance, wisdom and grace upon the entire campus community.

Rooted deeply in Ignatian spirituality, which emphasizes finding God in all things, the Mass serves to dedicate the upcoming year鈥檚 pursuits鈥攁cademic, administrative, artistic and athletic鈥攖o the greater glory of God, Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam, AMDG.

Never been to a Catholic Mass? You’re not alone. Whether you’re exploring your faith, continuing a lifelong tradition, or simply looking for a meaningful way to begin the semester, you are invited to join us. The Mass includes music, prayer, Scripture and a brief reflection, offering an opportunity to pause and begin the year with hope, gratitude and a sense of community. All are welcome.
